Christie Fraser (she/her/hers) has worked in education for more than 20 years. Currently, she is a Teaching Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Education and Social Work at TRU where she supports the development of inclusive educators in the Bachelor of Education program. Her teaching areas include: educational psychology; curriculum, instruction, and assessment; and literacy research and practice. Considerations for how to improve equity in education is a cornerstone of Christie’s teaching philosophy, and something she thinks about every day in her professional and personal life. These days she is thinking about acknowledging her privilege, the use of inclusive language inside and outside of the classroom, Indigenizing her teaching practice, and how to be a great ally.
